Sensitivity
Under UV-free environment such as rooms lit by LED lights or inside gloveboxes with acrylic windows, our camera can detect a 3 kBq alpha source from a distance of 1 meter within just 10 minutes. The detection sensitivity of our system is approximately proportional to the distance.
At night time, we have an advanced background reduction system to remove the UV background from city light or moon light. The lowest detection limit is around 100 kBq (1 meter, 10 minutes).
In the daytime, we went to the UVC region (below 280 nm) and detected a 3MBq alpha source (1 meter, 10 minutes).
